What We Do

What We Do

Soroptimist International of Sequim, chartered in 1947, provides continuing support for women and girls in Clallam County on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. We are guided by our mission …providing women and girls with access to the education they need to achieve economic empowerment – as well as the ever-changing needs of our community.

Hands-on woman-power activities range from tutoring/mentoring elementary school girls, to packing backpacks for foster children, to sharing in a day of holiday joy for children and families living in challenging circumstances, to stocking and maintaining a community Medical Loan Closet!

Fundraisers are held throughout the year to provide academic scholarships to graduating high school girls, as well as women returning to the work force, funding for community agencies whose mission statements align with Soroptimist International’s, and assistance to families living in transitional housing.
