Debra Danielson is a sales representative with Mutual of Omaha. She is starting her 7th year in the insurance and investment industry, and prior to that was a paralegal for over fifteen years. Debra feels fortunate that last fall she had the opportunity to move with her husband to Sequim to open a branch office for Mutual of Omaha covering the Olympic Peninsula. She has been busy building the business and meeting with existing clients in the area. Debras background as a paralegal helps her insurance business today. For her it was a natural transition, building on her foundation of strong client relationships, confidentiality, and the ability to assess her clients needs and help them through a solution, often over many years. Debras business offers total protection for individuals, families and businesses. The products and services offered by Mutual of Omaha Companies are designed to help protect your financial security, through various insurance products and investments. She believes in helping you protect your Kingdom through the Wild Kingdom. Prior to Sequim, Debra moved to Seattle in 1985 and was active in her community as well as raising two children now grown and on their own. She has two stepchildren, one started college this year. Debra was a volunteer with the Seattle Art Museum since 1985 and a past Chairman of the Metropolitan Arts Guild. She is a past board member of the Seattle Womens Sailing Association, past Vice-President of Business Network International, Ambassador with the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce and Founder/Director of the Professional Womens Network, a National Association for Female Executives affiliate. Debra
is looking forward to becoming a Soroptimist and part of the community.
This past summer she enjoyed the Sequim Bay Sailing races. Other interests
include gardening, fiber arts and outdoor activities. |
She attended college in Nebraska. She married Fred Manzer, a Facility Manager with Olympic National Park. They moved here almost 25 years ago. They have two sons, both still single, Paul, who will be 24 on Christmas Day, and Cody, who is 21 and in his last year of college. Since
living here, Jane has worked as a Congressional Liaison, Para-educator,
Appraisal Assistant, Office Manager, Administrative Assistant, and now
as a Court Operations Specialist. What all those jobs had in common
was that they enabled me to be home when my kids were home and to be
involved as much as possible in their various endeavors. Now its
time to travel, garden, continue involvement in church, enjoy our dogs
that have sort of replaced the kids, dabble in genealogy,
and Get Involved in Soroptimists. PAT POTTIGER Pat is a native Washingtonian. She graduated from Everett High School and received her BA in English and M. Ed from the U of W. She and her husband moved to Sequim 13 years ago where they have family going back to 1870. They bought back part of the family farm on Jamestown Beach and built a house with a view toward her great-grandfathers barn which is still standing. Most of her life, she worked in school districts as a counselor and administrator in the Seattle area. Pat was a single parent for fifteen years. She married her husband, Dan Pottiger, 18 years ago. Her son Greg moved to Texas to be a regional manager of an Internet hardware company a couple of years ago. He will be married this summer. This is good, since what Pat really wants to be is a doting grandmother. After retiring from Sequim School District, Pat opened Peninsula Driving School last June, which has been growing ever since. She now has a staff of nine and has two offices. Pat says this has been very interesting and challenging. She has learned a lot and has a new appreciation of what it takes to run a small business. Her hobbies are organic gardening, quilting, reading, hiking, traveling and history. |
