Years
ago I saw a comedian on TV who had a unique way to invoke laughter.
For 15 minutes he stood on the stage speaking, not with verbal words,
but rather with facial expressions. It was unexpected and different.
The audience roared. I was one of them. The comedian was able to convey
his words and feelings through his body language. It was memorable.

The
5th Annual Soroptimist Gala Garden Show was also memorable. It wasn’t
only the verbal comments by vendors and attendees. It was also the non-verbal
communication – happy faces, the peaceful, relaxing atmosphere.
Each Soroptimist volunteer, vendor and attendee were part of it. So
were the plants. Each person who worked behind the scenes, but wasn’t
there in person, was part of it. Many thanks to everyone who helped.
Here are some photos that only partially capture the feeling of camaraderie at this year's show.
