THE GARDEN SHOW IS COMING! COMMUNITY SERVICE
The 5th annual Sequim Soroptimist Garden Show is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for the weekend of March 22-23 As you know, this is our one big fund-raiser for the year and everyone gets a chance to become involved. We need everyone’s help on that weekend and plenty of help before the event.

Please consider what you would like to do and contact one of the committee heads or myself to volunteer. Everyone will be assigned a role and we will make this event the best ever!

The Community Service Committee choose three families for Thanksgiving to receive dinners at Safeway and three families for Christmas dinners/food/gifts.

The Christmas families received gifts for the children and the staple items collected by our members along with dinners from Safeway.  Cindy Bidegary made wonderful quilted Christmas Stockings for the children and had them stuffed with small gifts.

This committee has enjoyed themselves this year and we are having a wonderful time.  We are looking for other projects so please contact anyone of us with your ideas.

During the Program at our Jan. 28th meeting we put you to work and made you laugh. The valentines you made will bring much joy to others in our community.

This year's Vocational Techincal (Vo-Tech) award goes to Angela Nesse. You may remember her as the November Girl of the Month. The award was given at our January 14th meeting. When Angela accepted it, she spoke of her volunteer work and told us her most favorite activity was a vacation bible school. Here's Angela's words: "I have had the opportunity for three years now to join a group of high school students in traveling to Ravalli, Montana. Our task was to conduct a Vacation Bible School for the children living on the Flathead Indian Reservation. Many of these children came from abusive, broken homes, thus unable to trust any adult who tried to interact with them. I found great joy in loving these kids, telling them about the love Christ has for each one and proving to them that I can be trusted as someone who truly cares." Truly Angela is deserving of this award.
