We are working on establishing a Friendship Link with an interested club. A Friendship Link is a way for us to learn about the world through the eyes of our sister Soroptimists. It’s a fun way to promote cultural exchange.

We would like to hear from you if you have any specific areas of the world that you would like us to pursue in our search for a Friendship Link club. Laxmi, our Grant of Friendship Visitor last year has started the process to establish a link with us.

We may also consider a Link with Sequim’s Sister City in Japan. You’ve told us that you’d be interested in establishing a link with a club in one of the “hot spots” in our world so that we could communicate with other women that they are not alone.

The club generously voted to budget $1000 for our Friendship Link. This money could be used to start a joint project, or to help our foreign club with some of their projects. The possibilities are great.

Also, we hope to host another Grant of Friendship Visitor in Spring 2003, or Fall 2004.

We recently received a patch for our Soroptimist Banner. It was awarded to us because of our support for the float in the recent Rose Bowl Parade. We are proud of who we are, a part of Soroptimist International.
